This is the 7th volume of our Beginner Kanji series! In this lesson, we will learn 11 Kanji related to nouns.
初級（しょきゅう）の漢字（かんじ）練習（れんしゅう）のシリーズ、今回（こんかい）はVol.07です！ 名詞（めいし）に関係（かんけい）する漢字（かんじ）を11個（こ）勉強（べんきょう）します。

― 学習方法（がくしゅうほうほう）
In this video, we focus on the meanings and practical usage of Kanji through these 3 steps.
この動画（どうが）では、漢字（かんじ）の意味（いみ）、そして、漢字（かんじ）がどう使（つか）われるか、次（つぎ）の3つのステップで勉強（べんきょう）できます。
- Understand the basic meaning and how to read the Kanji.
基本（きほん）の意味（いみ）と、その読（よ）み方（かた）を確認（かくにん）します。
- Study common words using the Kanji. I will read them twice, so please repeat after me.
その漢字（かんじ）を使（つか）った単語（たんご）を勉強（べんきょう）します。私（わたし）が２回（にかい）読（よ）みますから、あとにつづいて読（よ）んでください。
- Check how the words are used in sentences. I will also read the example sentences twice. Listen carefully and practice reading them aloud.
例文（れいぶん）を見（み）ます。単語（たんご）がどう使（つか）われているか確認（かくにん）しましょう。例文（れいぶん）も２回（にかい）読（よ）みます。よく聞（き）いて、文（ぶん）を読（よ）む練習（れんしゅう）もしましょう。

The Particle “の (no)” : Connecting [Noun A] and [Noun B]
［名詞（めいし）Ａ］と［名詞（めいし）Ｂ］をつなぐ「の」
By using the particle “の”, you can place Noun A before Noun B to provide more information about Noun B. In the structure “A の B”, Noun A describes the ownership, affiliation, location, content, or characteristics of Noun B.
助詞（じょし）の「の」を使（つか）って、名詞（めいし）Ｂを説明（せつめい）するために、名詞（めいし）Ａを名詞（めいし）Ｂの前（まえ）に付（つ）けることができます。「AのB」という形（かたち）で、所有（しょゆう）、所属（しょぞく）、所在（しょざい）、内容（ないよう）、性質（せいしつ）など、AがBをくわしく説明（せつめい）します。
Let’s look at two example sentences from the video again.
動画（どうが）にでてくる 例文（れいぶん）を２つ、もういちど見（み）ましょう。
- 父（ちち）は書道（しょどう）の先生（せんせい）です。
父は先生です。
→ 父は 書道の先生です。
💡 Noun A [書道 Calligraphy] + の + Noun B [先生 Teacher] - 友（とも）だちはこの店（みせ）の店員（てんいん）です。
友だちは 店員です。
→ 友だちは この店の店員です。
💡 Noun A [この店 This shop] + の + Noun B [店員 Clerk]
As you can see, “の” is very useful. However, please be careful: you cannot swap the order of Noun A and Noun B.
このように、「の」はとても便利（べんり）です。でも、名詞（めいし）Ａと名詞（めいし）Ｂを逆（ぎゃく）にすることはできませんから 気（き）をつけてください。
