– 形容詞（けいようし）と 曜日（ようび）
In this lesson, we will learn 10 Kanji! First, we will cover 5 Kanji for adjectives, then 5 Kanji for the days of the week. In this video, we will practice not only words but also full sentences. Let’s do our best!
今回（こんかい）は、漢字（かんじ）を 10個（こ）紹介（しょうかい）します。最初（さいしょ）に 形容詞（けいようし）を5つ、次（つぎ）に曜日（ようび）の漢字（かんじ）を 5つ勉強（べんきょう）します。今回の動画では、単語だけでなく 文で言う 練習もしますよ。 がんばりましょう！

💡 How to Study / 学習（がくしゅう）の仕方（かた）
1. Basic Meaning and Reading – 漢字の基本の意味と読み方
Check the basic meaning and reading of each Kanji.
漢字（かんじ）の 基本（きほん）の意味（いみ）と 読（よ）み方（かた）を 確認（かくにん）しましょう。
2. Practice with Examples and Sentences – 単語の例と例文の練習
I will read the example words twice. Please repeat after me aloud! The 1st time is slow, and the 2nd time is at normal speed. After the words, I will also read example sentences twice. Listen carefully! The 1st time is slow, and the 2nd time is at normal speed.
単語（たんご）の例（れい）を 2回（かい）読（よ）みますから、私（わたし）のあとに 声（こえ）に出（だ）して 練習（れんしゅう）しましょう。1回目（かいめ）はゆっくり、2回目（かいめ）は ふつうのスピードで 発音（はつおん）します。単語（たんご）のあとに、例文（れいぶん）も2回（かい）読（よ）みます。よく聞（き）いてください。例文（れいぶん）も 1回目はゆっくり、2回目は ふつうのスピードです。
3. Take the Quiz! – クイズにチャレンジ！
There is a quiz in the middle of the video. Check if you remember the Kanji! It’s okay if you can’t do it all. Let’s practice many times.

―「日」と「月」を復習（ふくしゅう）しましょう！
Do you remember the Kanji “日” and “月” from Vol.03? These Kanji are also used for the days of the week!
Vol.03で「日」と「月」の 勉強（べんきょう）をしました。覚（おぼ）えていますか？ 「日」と「月」も 曜日（ようび）の漢字（かんじ）で 使（つか）われています。
- 日曜日 (にちようび / nichiyoubi) = Sunday
- 月曜日 (げつようび / getsuyoubi) = Monday

２. How to make polite sentences with “は – です / wa – desu”
― ていねいな文（ぶん）:「は -です」
In the video, many sentences use the “– は – です / -wa – desu” pattern. This pattern is used to explain something politely. Let’s check the examples from the video.
動画（どうが）の中（なか）の 例文（れいぶん）で、「は 〜 です」のかたちの文（ぶん）がたくさんありました。「は 〜 です」のかたちを使（つか）って、何（なに）かを ていねいに説明（せつめい）することが できます。
[ Noun ] は [ Noun ] です。
- 田中さんは社長です。 (Tanaka-san wa shachou desu.)
Mr. Tanaka is the president.
💡 田中さん[noun] は 社長[noun] です。 - 水曜日は休みです。 (Suiyoubi wa yasumi desu.)
Wednesday is a holiday (off).
💡 水曜日[noun] は 休み[noun] です。
[ Noun ] は [ Adjective ] です。
- このトマトは大きいです。 (Kono tomato wa ookii desu.)
This tomato is big.
💡 このトマト[noun] は 大きい[adjective ] です。 - あの山は高いです。 (Ano yama wa takai desu.)
That mountain is high.
💡 あの山[noun] は 高い[adjective ] です。
