🎓Ako’s Mini Lesson
1. Let’s learn vocabulary in pairs!
In this video, several Kanji with opposite meanings appear. Learning them in pairs makes them much easier to remember!
- 古(ふる)い / furui = Old
↔️ 新(あたら)しい / atarashii = New - 少(すく)ない / sukunai = Few
↔️ 多(おお)い / ooi = Many
2. Be careful with the difference between “少ない” and “少し”!
少ない / sukunai (Adjective / い形容詞)
- Example: 日本(にほん)に 来(き)たばかりですから、まだ 友(とも)だちが 少ないです。
[ I just arrived in Japan, so I have few friends yet. ]
- 少し /sukoshi (Adverb / 副詞)
- Example: 漢字(かんじ)を 少し 書(か)くことが できます。
[ I can write a little Kanji. ]
- Example: 漢字(かんじ)を 少し 書(か)くことが できます。
